Employee Spotlight: Sierra Richardson

We’re engineers, customer service representatives, accounting gurus, tech support superheroes, and more — but we’re also real humans. In our new blog series, “Employee Spotlight”, you’ll meet BBP employees, learn about their background and roles, and discover what they like most about working at BBP. This week, the spotlight is on Sierra Richardson, better known as the “The ETC of BBP”. This woman does it all! Throughout her time with us, she has worn many hats, making her an essential member of the BBP Team. Sierra is the person with a plan and all the answers. We couldn’t live without her. Thanks for all that you do, Sierra! Keep up the great work!

Name:  Sierra Richardson

Title: The ETC. of BBP

City of Residence: Pierre Part, Lousiana

Hometown: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Family Status: I’m engaged to Derek Guillot and I have one son. (Whit Guillot -2 years old)

What is your role at BBP? Service, Safety, Human Resources, Operations, IT… etc.

How long have you been in the industry? 8 years

What do you enjoy most about your role?  I love that every day is a challenge. I work in many different areas of our business which allows my role to change on a daily basis depending on the needs of that day.

What makes you proud to work at BBP? From the very beginning, BBP allowed me to expand my potential by moving into various roles since I began in inside sales right after college.

What are 3 words to describe BBP? Growth, Excitement, Flexible

What is something that most people do not know about you?  The last 4 years, I have served on the planning committee for one of the largest fundraisers in Louisiana. (Hollyday’s – The Junior League of Baton Rouge)

What is your favorite quote? “Never let a stumble in the road be the end of the journey.”

Motto or Personal Mantra: Life status: Currently holding it all together with one bobby pin.

If I could do it all over again, I would: I would have met my fiancé much sooner in life.

Which four individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most? Princess Diana, Rachel Hollis, Bethenny Frankel, and Reese Witherspoon

If your life had a theme song, what would it be?   Currently, it would be Baby Shark because my son is in love with it and once it’s in your head it’s not leaving!

What type of music do you listen to? All kinds – I’m not picky.

What advice do you have for prospective BBP employees?  You get what you work for, not what you wish for.
